Electrical Safety: Controlling the Hazard

Complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.331-1910.355

"Electrical Safety: Controlling the Hazard" program is designed to prevent electrical incidents and injuries at your workplace. Summit’s program teaches your workers basic safety practices for working with or around electricity, so that they can be grounded in safety. Electricity is such a common part of our lives that we forget the risks involved. Most employees work with electrical equipment every day. Accidents can occur from something as simple as a damaged extension cord or faulty shop floor outlet. Electrocutions have been the fifth leading cause of death each year for the past 20 years, according to NIOSH (National Institute of Occupational Safety).
